WHAT IS PASSION COACHING?
Passion Coaching LLC is a teen life coaching service that has translated the science of motivation (intrinsic and extrisnic) into teen life coaching services for teens and youth-serving professionals.
In The Oxford Handbook of Human Motivation, Edward L. Deci, one of the world's leading researchers on motivation, defines intrinsic motivation as:
The inherent propensity to:
(1) ENGAGE IN ONE’S INTERESTS (Motivations)
(2) EXERCISE ONE’S CAPACITIES (Abilities)
(3) SEEK OUT AND MASTER OPTIMAL CHALLENGES (GOALS)
OUR COACHING MODEL
The Passion Coaching Model (AKA, MAG Model) guides teens in becoming self-aware of their full range of intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. We call this type of developmental progress "Motivational Awareness" and it gives teens more confidence in their motivations, more confidence in their abiltities, and more confidence in setting goals that build on their motivations and abilities.

Passion Coaching LLC is a social impact organization started by Paul Thiebaut III and Mariamne Borden with the generous support of Sobrato Philanthropies. Our mission is for ALL YOUTH to live up to their potential in and out of school by cultivating their intrinsic motivations.
Together, we have 25+ years of experience supporting youth in cultivating their intrinsic motivations. We have founded 4 organizations that have built intrinsic motivation in thousands of young people ages preschool-college.
